More Info below about Ernie and Sally

Ernie and Sally, reside in a certified wildlife habitat at the base of the Huachuca Mountains in Hereford. During a 20+ year career in the US Army Corps of Engineers, Ernie was responsible for design and construction of facilities around the world. In his second career as a defense analyst, he was responsible for design and development of computer simulation models and for testing and evaluation of weapon systems. He holds a Doctor of Science degree in Operations Research from George Washington University and is the author of numerous professional papers in the fields of military operations research and test and evaluation. He has taught courses in mathematics and computer science at the University of Maryland.

Ernie has been a member of the Rotary Club of Sierra Vista, 1997. He and Sally each received The Rotary Foundation District Service Award in five separate years. Ernie received the Four Avenues of Service Award in 2006.

Sally is the Grants Chair for District 5500 and Past Assistant Governor. She has received Rotary's highest award, the Service above Self Award, in 2009. They both participated in a Polio NID in Benin, West Africa, in 2005. Enthusiastic supporters of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Ernie and Sally are Major Donors, Bequest Society Members, multiple Paul Harris Fellows, and members of the Paul Harris Society. They are also Rotary Foundation Alumni, having received Volunteer Service Grants to travel to West Africa to plan Rotary projects. These trips have resulted in over 50 matching grant projects providing clean water, sanitation, health care, education support, and income generation for thousands of needy people in communities in Togo and Niger in District 9100 in West Africa. These projects have support from 88 clubs and 13 Rotary Districts in 8 countries, and The Rotary Foundation. Additional projects are being planned.
