Charley's Bio:

I'm a 16 year veteran of the Tucson Police Dept. During my career I've been a member of our Dept SWAT team, a Medal of Valor recipient, a two time Chief Citation of Excellence recipient and in 2014 I was awarded the Tucson Police Foundation's Unsung Hero Award. Fourteen of my sixteen years have been on patrol where the other two years was spent at the academy where I was a rifle and pistol instructor.  If there is such a designation as a "professional cop" I'm it.

But my life changed in 2014 after I met another professional, only he was a professional football player.  He told how he he was giving back to veterans and told me what he was doing to make a difference.  Well it inspired me to do more with my life and that when I founded my non profit organization, Flags for the Flagless.

What I envisioned being a weekend job to keep me busy, has turned into a full time passion. To date I've raised 94 American flags around Pima County, placed close to 400 flags in school classrooms between Brooklyn NY and Tucson and for the past two years, I've partnered with the University of Arizona to fly a different family's interment flags at every home football game.
