Apr 14 2009 - YMCA of So. Arizona

Our guest speaker, Rob Gillette, was from the YMCA of Southern Arizona and he discussed the mission and programs that the YMCA offers the community. He also made the point that over 13,000 participants receive full or partial scholarships for their programs with 98% of funds going towards programs or scholarships. Their mission is to "turn no kid away" who cannont afford a YMCA program. Our president, John MacIntire presented a check from the Poker Tournament to the YMCA which was greatly appreciated.
