April 17 - TROT to the finish line...

Our speaker was Leslie Esselburn, Executive Director of TROT - Therapeutic Riding of Tucson. TROT is one of a growing number of organizations that provide equine therapy, horseback riding as therapy for those with disabilities. Their participants range from children with emotional disabilties to returning war veterans recovering from serious injury. Click here to learn more at their web site.

David Baker announced the details of our Flowing Wells Senior Shopping Trip, on Sunday, April 22nd. This event is funded by the Saguaro Rotary Foundation and a matching grant from the district. Twenty deserving graduating seniors from Flowing Wells High School will have a $200 gift card to shop for clothes at the Tucson Mall, accompanied by our club members. Jim Brunenkant shared with us some of the stories of these kids, and why they deserve our help in getting just a few decent clothes so they can comfortably participate in graduation and the surrounding events. These are kids who are working through extreme adversity to attend high school and graduate successfully.

We also enjoyed a great lunch (beef tenderloin!!) and great fellowship. See you next week!
