April 24 - Membership Grows, Club Is Organized!

Club business filled our meeting Tuesday May 24th. Jim Brunenkant reported on the very successful Flowing Wells Shopping Spree event held on Sunday. Twenty deserving graduating seniors from Flowing Wells shopped the Tucson Mall in the company of Saguaro members and their partners, using gift cards funded by the Saguaro Rotary Club Foundation and a matching District Simplified Grant. If you weren't there, be sure to talk to someone who was and hear the amazing stories about these wonderful kids.

We inducted our newest member, Scott Forgues. Scott is a financial advisor with Merril Lynch. We were pleased to see Scott participate in the Shopping Spree over the weekend - several days before his induction. A good running start! Please introduce yourself and make Scott welcome.

Club Administration Director Scott Polston reviewed the proposed changes to the Club Bylaws. The entire membership will vote on these changes in a few weeks. Both current bylaws and the proposed new bylaws are available for download on the home page at www.saguarorotary.org.

Remember that guests are welcome at any club meeting. Our upcoming speakers are JoAnn Barnett of Infant Swimming Resource on May 1st, and on May 8th Veronica Becker will talk about "Writing for Prime Time with Ugly Betty". Invite a friend so that they can enjoy the fellowship and learn about Rotary.
