We heard announcements about Saguaro Rotary Foundation action from Foundation President Lynn Kastella.  Following our off-site meeting at the Ronald McDonald house last week, the Foundation donated a large quantity of new bath towels, meeting a top need from their wish list.

Fred Narcaroti and Jeretta Douglas, chairs of the Poker fundraiser, presented a check for $1250 to Erica Zuieback from New Beginnings for Women and Children.

Laura Rios, our GSE Team member, is leaving for Brazil this weekend.  She thanked the club for the opportunity and got some pictures to share with her Brazilian hosts!  We know Laura will be a great representative of Rotary and of the Saguaro club.

Trenton Jacobs, a senior at Flowing Wells High School, was the winner of the club's Four Way Test speech contest.  Trenton presented his winning speech and received an award of $100 from the club.

Two pairs of tickets to this week's Lute Olson celebrity auction were donated by Fred Narcaroti and auctioned off for the benefit of the Foundation.  John MacIntire and Woody Cohen were the successful bidders.

Sid Taren won the raffle but missed the winning card.  Congrats anyway, Sid!

And finally, our speakers from the YMCAs of Metro Tucson were Kerry Dufour, development director, and YMCA volunteer Rob Gillette.  They brought us up to date on the wonderful services and programs provided by this great organization.
