August 4, 2009 Joseph"Jay" Johnston

At this Tuesday's meeting we listened to a presentation from Joseph "Jay" Johnston the COO from TUSD (Tucson Unified School District). Jay's discussion focused around the reorganization of TUSD's Operations basically made to reduce the budget and maintain a leaner, more centralized operations' staff.
Because many of the Rotary attendees had very pertinent questions and suggestions about the budget and the future direction of TUSD Schools, our meeting extended past the usual hour. Most members found this to be a very informative and timely discussion.
