Saguaro Rotary maintains its high level of activity, generating a lot of fun and a lot of good works. That also results in a strong, growing club!

The Feb 6th meeting was a great example. We welcomed visitors from the frozen North - PDG Bob Peterson and his wife Bev Peterson from Bismark, North Dakota. No weather jokes necessary... We also honored a visitor from across town, incoming ADG Liz Cohn of Sunrise Rotary.

The honors continued when we presented our Student of the Month award to Flowing Wells HS student Katie Jones. Katie will be studying ceramic arts at Pima Community College next fall.

The club continued a strong growth trend as we inducted our newest member, Kristy Kelley of Long Commercial Realty. Kristy is an active community leader and a great addition to the club! Be sure to meet her soon!

Jessei MacIntire had her ticket pulled in the raffle and won $5. It cost her $10 in tickets to win the $5, so "won" is perhaps not completely accurate. What is accurate is that she's supporting the Saguaro Rotary Foundation with her purchase!

Our "SuperBowl Squares" Foundation fundraiser concluded with the drawing of the numbers. Nick Genematas hit both the first quarter and halftime scores and Sam Behrend won the Final score grand prize. That's $200 each donated to their Paul Harris accounts. The third quarter was won by non-Rotarian John Hall, a long-time friend of several Saguaro members. Thanks for supporting Rotary, John! All the winners received SuperBowl T-shirts, donated by Woody Cohen

Finally, we enjoyed an informative presentation about the Tucson Museum of Art from their Membership Director Katherine Wesalowski. A lot of great exhibits and activities are available to Tucsonans at the Museum.
