Jan 30 - Amazing Artworks Inspire!

Our off-site visit to the Arts Partnership Gallery downtown was a great success. We enjoyed a fine lunch from the Barrio Grill. Gallery partner Stan Kryzanowski gave an illuminating presentation on the business of art. Stan discussed the history and aesthetics of the wonderful surrealistic art of Ilene Meyer, on display at the gallery. All agreed that the technical skill and beautiful design of these paintings was superb.

The final highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the annual Fran Coffey scholarship from Saguaro Rotary to deserving U of A student Heidi Stoeckman. Heidi graduated Flowing Wells High with a 4.0 plus grade average and now studies engineering plus pre-med science courses at the U of A. She hopes to attend graduate school in bio-engineering. An outstanding choice from the pool of well qualified applicants. Thanks to Saguaro Rotary's own David Baker for leading the scholarship selection process at Flowing Wells.
