The
Pima Library Foundation is the fund-raising arm of the greater library
system in Tucson. John talked about the different programs available in the Libraries in Tucson today and how the foundation is providing funding for these programs. It was a excellent presentation, and the opportunities for a Rotarian to assist in the Library system are available today.

Foundation
The Pima County Library Foundation
(PCLF) is a non-profit organization formed in 1999 to ensure the continuing
vitality and excellence of our library system by developing and sustaining a
permanent endowment fund for the long term benefit of the Pima County Public
Library system. This permanent fund would provide funds for materials and
programs over and above the existing tax-based funding of approximately $18
million annually. The endowment fund is meant to augment, not replace, public
funding.
