The Pima Library Foundation is the fund-raising arm of the greater library system in Tucson. Foundation Mission Statement
The Pima County Library Foundation (PCLF) is a non-profit organization formed in 1999 to ensure the continuing vitality and excellence of our library system by developing and sustaining a permanent endowment fund for the long term benefit of the Pima County Public Library system. This permanent fund would provide funds for materials and programs over and above the existing tax-based funding of approximately $18 million annually. The endowment fund is meant to augment, not replace, public funding.

Current tax-based funding from city and county government does not provide enough money to keep pace with the population growth and does not provide enough money for future growth.
