Our speaker this week was Karen Francis-Begay from Solutions Through Higher Education. Her message was about the current state of higher education in the US and Arizona. Solutions Through Higher Education emphasizes that investments in higher education are necessary to improve the lagging competitveness in the US and Arizona. We were also joined by guests Chris Fortier of Alliance Legal Services, LLC and Chris Lanaman, a visiting Rotarian from Kansas City, who has recently moved to Tucson for a position as a Healthcare IT Manager. Both guests expressed interest as potential members of Saguaro Rotary.
Woody and Christine gave us more details about the installation on the 21st. We will be having a choice of Prime Rib, Salmon, or Chicken Florentine at Anthony's in the Catalinas. The entertainment will be by the acclaimed guitar duo, Reno del Mar.
