Mar 24 2009 - Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Tucson

Coco from the Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Tucson presented to our club this past Tuesday. She described the program that matches interested adult mentors with youth who are typically at risk. "Bigs" commit to meet with their "Littles" at least 2 times per month for one year. BB/BS sponsors events at least twice a month to facilitate meetings, although they are optional. There is also an on-site after school program that doesn't require transporting the kids to events. Other opportunities to help are to hold a clothes drive where by we would collect used clothing and they sell to Savers to benefit BB/BS of Tucson.
