May 19 2009 - Marion Hook

Marion Hook of the Adobe Rose Bed and Breakfast (http://www.aroseinn.com) presented a very interesting speech on crossing cultural boundaries. Marion has lived in many exotic places such as Indonesia and Pittsburgh where she apparently is a keen observer of culture. She gave a brief description of the many elements of culture including spoken language, body language, gender, food, etc.

Our own Doug Raines will be part of a program called Tucson Remembers - The Korean War which airs on Thursday May 28 at 8:00pm on KUAT channel 6. Please be sure to watch it.

The club also learned that our member Pat Wright passed away on April 14th, 2009. Pat will be missed as an active member of the club.
