Membership Grows on Sept 12th!

Saguaro members were thrilled to witness the induction of new member Kate Knochel! The induction of new member Teresa Hill is planned for next week. This is a great trend for Saguaro Rotary - keep it going by talking to your acquaintances about the benefits of Rotary membership!

Debbie Kornmiller, Reader Advocate for the Arizona Daily Star, gave an interesting presentation on what is changing at the Star. The Star is now under new ownership and Debbie told us that the main change they have seen is that the new owners want the paper to have even more direct involvement in supporting the community - sounds like a good thing!

Progress is being made on the Poker Tournament fundraiser, but we are a long way from our goals. PLEASE make an effort to find individual players, teams of players, and PRIZES!! The event can't succeed without the efforts of EVERY club member.
