Nov 11 2008 - David Flieger - Rubaga Friends

Our speaker was Dr. David Flieger and his story was about Rubaga Friends. David is a member of the Pima Rotary club an is also a board member and supporter of the Rubaga Community School in Kampala, Uganda. The Rubaga school serves needy children in Kampala in a warm and positive atmosphere. Rubaga Friends is raising funds for various projects at the school in cluding the purchase of a vehicle to transport kids and pick up supplies at a fraction of the cost of what they do now, which is using taxi's. As a reminder...we will be holding our Holiday Luncheon on December 16 and the committee is working on the planning for that.

We also are putting together a night out at the Gaslight Theater for January 18, 2009. This will be a joint outing with the Rincon Rotary club and will benefit Cub Scout Pack 186. Tickets are $20 each...please see Scott Forgues for tickets.
