Oct 3rd - Bird Flu and Enchiladas

A packed house enjoyed a Mexican feast when we welcomed Dr. Leonard Ditmanson from the Arizona Medical Association as our speaker. Fortunately, we finished eating before hearing about the Bird Flu - a major killer of appetites. Seriously, flu shots and normal precautions including hand washing, avoiding exposure to coughs and sneezes, and maintaining your overall health are all recommendations. Right now the avian flu is only reported in a very few cases, but it could mutate and break out in the future.

On a lighter note, we welcomed Saguaro Past President Bob Schoolman as a visitor, along with past member John Beatty and winter visitor / honorary member Joe Tatar.

Don't forget to promote the Poker fundraiser this Sunday! If all our members attend and each bring one more player, we will have an excellent turnout and a great fundraising result! We have some great prizes and a strong team competition shaping up. Don't miss the excitement.
