Another exciting meeting filled the room on Sept. 19. New member Teresa Hill, assistant Principal at Flowing Wells High, was inducted. The second week in a row that we inducted a new member - when did that last happen? (Probably never!) Be sure to welcome Teresa and sign her roster, and don't forget to sign the roster of our no-longer-the-newest member Kate Knochel.

While you're seeking out our two new members, also introduce yourself to a prospective member, Glenn Gunsolley. Glenn is a CPA in private practice and has been a Rotarian for about seven years, currently in the Saddlebrooke club. We know Glenn's Rotary experience will make him a great member of Saguaro. With this rate of growth, Saguaro should equal the size of the Tucson Rotary (about 270 members) around the end of the year!!

The meeting finished with a fascinating presentation on the history of the Apache people by author Stan Gordon. Stan's book "Moon in the Water" is a historical fiction, based on the life of the female Apache leader Lozen. Stan showed some authentic Apache weapons and pictures of the Apache life and leaders in the 1880's.
